Vic & Alisha | Scarborough Bluffs Engagement Session

When we arrived at the bluffs for this session, seriously every parking spot was full. We luckily managed to find what seemed to be the last two parking spots left! I was starting to get nervous because of how busy it was. “Will there be people in the background of all their images?”, “Am I going to have to spend hours and hours photoshopping people out of the background?”, “We didn’t seriously just drive 3 hours to take photos on what seemed to be the busiest day of the season!”. These were all thoughts that went through my head, but I knew no matter what, we were doing them. We had just drove 3 hours to shoot at this location, and whatever we had to do, we would do it! Haha

Luckily, the part of the bluffs we walked to wasn’t THAT Busy. There definitely were people around, so we just had to shoot in a small section to avoid sunbathers, and inflatable row boats in the background.

In the end, I didn’t have to photoshop a single person out of the back ground, and I’m IN LOVE with the photos!

Henry Jude |Lifestyle Newborn Photographer

Wow, it seems like yesterday I was taking Adah’s newborn photos. Now she’s all grown up and graduated to “big sister.”

although she only wanted to be in a few photos, the ones we got of the two of them were so sweet. As I’m sure you can tell from the photos, Adah takes her job as big sister very seriously!

Oravec In-Home Session | Sarnia Family Photographer

Wow, it has been a while. I am a little embarrassed that it took me this long to publish a blog post, but what can ya do?

I had a baby in February, and took a few months off. I slowly got back into doing families, newborns, and engagements in May, and started my wedding season in July. It was a wonderfully slow start of the year for me, and was so nice to have that time to just heal, rest and adjust to life with two kids.

This session took place on a cold winter morning. I just remember coming into their beautiful home, and it feeling so warm and cozy. This was a very last minute session. Alanna contacted me 2 weeks before my due date to ask if I could squeeze them in before my mat leave. I told her as long as I didn’t have the baby, I was good to go. It was a good distraction from waiting for the baby to arrive. 🙂

This has to be one of my favourite sessions to date. I love love LOVE something about photographing families in their homes. <3

John & Kait | Wedding Day | Sarnia Riding Club

Wow, I can’t believe winter is almost over! Soon, it will be wedding season again! I have been so bad about blogging weddings this past year, but I’ve been a little busy lately. Baby boy #2 has finally arrived, and we are over the moon excited to have him in our family. I will be having a slow(er) wedding season this year because of this, and won’t be starting it off until mid July.

I woke up the morning of John and Kait’s (No, not +8) 😉 wedding, to the thickest fog I had ever seen. I was so excited about it, but knew it would likely be gone by the time I started shooting that afternoon. It actually stuck around just until the very end of the ceremony. The ceremony took place at the Sarnia Riding Club on the lawn, overlooking Lake Huron. It was the perfect setting, but almost as soon as the ceremony started, the fog started to clear. Boo! 🙁 By the end of the ceremony it was a regular bright sunny day! Still beautiful, but you know us photographers love a good gloomy day! The rest of the day was filled with fun, laughter, and lots of love! I am so thankful to be apart of so many beautiful couple’s wedding days, and witness them making a commitment to one another. It’s such a beautiful thing!

Scott & Lenie {In-home session}

Ah, a newly married couple in their first home.. I love it! Also, I love any chance to photograph these two beautiful people.

Their home is actually so adorable (no surprise there!) It’s so cozy, and welcoming. The day we took these photos, there was a big snow storm outside, so being cozied up on the couch with some coffee, was the perfect way to start the day.

I’m slowly getting back into the groove of things here after having baby # 2, and I’m going to start trying to blog some sessions and weddings from this past year.

Enjoy!
