My name is Heidi, and I am the face behind Violet Light Photography. I am 27 years old, and am located in Southern Ontario. I have been married to my handsome husband, Alexander , for 8 years. We have two little boys named Roman and Edison. When I don’t have a camera in my hand, most of my time is spent with my family, having coffee with friends, thrift shopping, cooking, or crafting. I love not only creating beauty in photographs, but also in so many other areas of my life.
I have been a professional photographer for 8 years, but have been playing around behind the lens for 11. Throughout the years, I have come to love photographing with a photojournalistic type of style. If you are looking for a posed photo with everyone looking to the camera with a “say cheese” smile, I am not the photographer for you. I rarely ask my clients to look at the camera; I focus rather on getting them to interact with each other to create emotion filled images that they will cherish forever.
